July 3, 2007: In the plaza before the Danish Parliament near the ancient Borsen stockmarket (click its image at left to see film of protest), a group of martial artists protested “softly” against Denmark’s current and past history of human rights violations. They performed Capoeira forms, a martial arts developed by Caribbean and Latin American slaves and their descendents, in a very similar way the Japanese underclass, forbidden to posses weapons, developed their range of martial arts of using the body as a weapon and for spiritual and cultural practice. Capoeira incorporates martial arts with a unique flavor of African dance, ritual and music.

Every 5 seconds in …
Every 5 seconds in this world, a child under 10 dies of hunger. According to the UN, the world produces enough food to support 12 billion people (in a world of 6.7 billion). Danish PM Fogh Rasmussen has participated in pogrom wars with Danish taxes for Bush, so Mærsk can get even wealthier. Please first give half of everything you buy at any supermarket to them, which essentially was stolen from the mouths of starving children far away via Mærsk. Religion is often a way to control resources
bin Ladin does not …
bin Ladin does not represent the Muslim world, any more than Hitler represented Western society, when he used biblical quotes to justify his coming actions in Mein Kampf (My Issue)
You need to better study the emergence of desert cultures to understand what’s going on in terms of resources.
As a social …
As a social scientist and biologist, Veracity, I have to inform you that you are deeply lacking any empirical *veracity* in your statements. These issues existed long before the emergence of any Muslim issue. In fact, it was inherited from the Judeo-Christian heritage, of a desert culture evolution modality.
This happens all …
This happens all the time. When a person’s argument is logically shown for it’s error, the commentator exits stage left with his comment. But I will leave my response here, as it is important information.
Furthermore the …
Furthermore the poverty in these nations stems largely from the teachings of Islam. When one man can impregnate mutilple women simultaneously, there is no way there would be sufficient resources to provide for them. Also Osama Bin Laden is no product of destitution, he is a multimillionaire, I believe his family has somewhere near 17,000,000 US dollars.
The muslims …
The muslims sadisitc, genocidal tendencies do not stem from a lack of resources, but rather the teachings of their religion. All religions provide soil for extremists, but Islam due to its teachings that anyone who has not submitted to the will of Allah is to die, and that death is glorious, proves exceptionally fecund and dangerous.
For those who don’t …
For those who don’t understand Mærsk, it is the Danish super-multinational container ship firm that also owns Danske Supermarked, which controls the food etc. bought by Danes. Møller Mærsk, w/controlling stocks in Kerr McGee, also supplies the war machines in the world (incl for USA), and disseminates poison products (eg: China) everywhere. War and racism makes a few Danes incredibly wealthy, and this angers many. We need to better understand the roots of global stress.

I’m not Muslim, or …
I’m not Muslim, or of any religion, and am 100% Danish, but have lived, studied and worked all over the world. I will allow your comment to stay here only if you clarify without further hurtful adjectives to peoples of another ethnic color, if you clarify with a civil tone what you mean.
How do you know ” …
How do you know “that is what Muslims believe”?
Perhaps it only has to do with a disproportionate redistribution of the world’s resources??
And what of the theocracy that has been streaming from the Bush regime? (only a small % of any religion is monolithic). Danish PM Fogh Rasmussen kissed GWB’s behind to participate in the Iraq invasion, causing millions of Iraqis to become homeless.
I’ll explain below…
shokes your a …
shokes your a muslim? because if you are, your maybe one of the few out there is Denmark that is, im from Denmark also ( danish 100% ) but where im from, the muslim is the most skumbags i have ever seen, 10 years old is running around thinking they own everything because they have big brother thats in jail for brutal assault, i wanner bet that over 75% of all muslims in denmark dont give a crap about danish community !
I am not deceiving …
I am not deceiving myself of anything. You seem to think that I am some Bible thumping redneck, this is not true. I am an atheist and I have been for quite awhile. As for who holds the moral high ground i would have to say yes, I hold it.
You are deceiving …
You are deceiving yourself, aren’t you? With the righteousness of much of the Evangelical movement?
If you wish to debate that one, that is a field I happen to be quite an expert on. Take that 4X4 beam stuck in your eye out first, then we can discuss things logically.
I’m not excusing the amoral actions of any particular theocracy, regardless of how cloaked in patriotism or other monolithic group-think. But don’t you ever deceive yourself to believe you hold the moral high ground.
Aside from Vatican …
Aside from Vatican City I can’t think of a single Christain theocracy in the world today. While Christianity does have a slight effect on some governments (particularly my own) it is not rampant noe as influential as that of Islamic nations, or nations with a srrong Muslim presence. As for ethnic cleansing, genocide , etc, Muslim nations are far more culpable. Besides the obvious example of Darfur we have the Taliban,s treatment of the Hazara people in Afghanistan.
The most dominant …
The most dominant theocracy in the world, in terms of fleeting wealth-accumulation, sits within the Christian political systems, especially those driven at a core value by more biblical verses. That has led to a lot of ethnic cleansing, genocide, war. The human species cannot tolerate much more thinning of its genetic variation. We came to an evolutionary bottleneck some 70,000 years ago.
Because that is …
Because that is what muslims believe.
Afghanistan, Iran, …
Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somlalia, all nations that have been dominated by theocracy, if Islamist extremists are rare they are exceedingly influential. Also, why do you keep trying to change ther subject to Iraq? That’s not what we are discussing. Though that is wrong also since most of the damage done in Iraq is internecine warfare between sunnis and shiites, also the most peaceful people in Iraq, the Kurds, are getting along fine. The phrase you end your statement with is ironic.
That’s factually …
That’s factually wrong. The vast majority of Muslims in Denmark absolutely behave respectful of our community. Any source that tells you differently is not being honest. Remember also, America with a handful of stupid nations, totally destroyed the entire social fabric infrastructures among Iraq’s most peaceful and law-abiding regions. The extremists are far and few in between, like in any society on this planet. You don’t go blasting the child with buckshot to get her pedophile rapist.
Logically if …
Logically if someone flees to another country and lives on their bill, they ought to be respectful of the endemic culture, however muslims fail to grasp this or ignore it entirely. Demanding special rights and privilages , such as polygamy and paedophilia, and imposing their culture, which is the cause of many of their woes anyhow, on everyone else.
I am sorry to hear …
I am sorry to hear that Bush has had such a dismal effect on your government(it seems that all throughout the western world our governments have been hijacked by commercialist fiends). As for the muslim invasion of Europe (and Canada) who is mistreating who? It seems every few months I hear about another riot or foiled terrorist attempt.
And many of the …
And many of the refugees from the Iraq War are trying to come to Scandinavia for relief, but Denmark is mistreating them big time in deplorable refugee camps, or sending them back to the desert to face horrors we can only imagine by local groups who may have local issues.
Whatever one may feel about that one way or the other, it only winds up creating more pools of people susceptible to the insanity of terrorism’s charismatic leaders…
Unfortunately for …
Unfortunately for Denmark, our government is about the only one in the world that still insists Bush is right. When Denmark went to war in partnership with Bush, our PM was given huge carrots – in the form of US-Danish multinational cooperation beneath the radar. It has redirected the revenues of our high tax rate, reinventing Reaganomics of trickle down, which never works.Greed breed absolute greed.
The last time a political situation so negatively impacted Denmark was the Nazi Occupation.
Where did this come …
Where did this come from? We were discussing Denmark not Bush. But yes Bush is a war criminal and a seditionist, having sold all of America out to private interests, weakened our military, and created a nation of debtors.
Bush just killed …
Bush just killed over a hundred thousand innocent Muslims! Destroyed a nation’s infrastructure, and orphaned and made homeless millions. For what?
That didn’t happen long ago; it’s happening here and now.
All those young people whose entire family structures were destroyed…? Bush and co only succeeded destroying economies and create a whole new generation of terrorists.
For what?
So 4.5% of the world’s population can still hold on to 25% of the world’s oil.
I guess that tower …
I guess that tower would be critical thought and reason, demanding an apology from people on the basis of what their ancestors did makes absolutely no sense. They didn’t do it, their grandparents may have, it didn’t happen to you, it may have happened to your great great great grandparents.
